Food & Wine

At Dalmunzie we feel particularly proud of the food & beverage we provide. With two AA rosettes and a second year recommendation in the Michelin guide we can guarantee a high consistency of product. Whether it’s a hearty breakfast in preparation for a big day, a relaxing lunch between golf rounds, or dressing up for a special dinner, we are confident our chefs can provide guests with an experience to remember.

Head Chef Michelle Metten has an International culinary background with many years of experience in boutique hotels. She has an excellent reputation for outstanding meals and is supported strongly by her talented team.

Breakfast is taken in either the sunroom with glorious views towards Ben Earb or in the Dining Room overlooking the front lawn. Teas are served throughout the day and lunch can be enjoyed wherever you like. There are numerous lounges to choose from, or if the sun is shining and the weather mild, there is no better place than on our expansive lawns enjoying magnificent mountain scenery on all sides.

Dinner is an important old-fashioned occasion at Dalmunzie. In a fast paced world we provide a dining experience deliberately meant to take several hours to fully appreciate our Scottish Estate Contemporary cuisine. With the candles low, unobtrusive service on hand, and wonderful food & wine to enjoy, we hope you’ll enjoy an event meant to be special. Dinner is enjoyed in our expansive dining room with views over the front lawn in the Spring & Summer months. Alternatively private dining may be arranged in the James Graham Library.

Our menu choices reflect traditional Estate/Country House House cuisine with ingredients drawn almost exclusively from Glenshee & Perthshire. The menu changes daily so feel free to request any ideas, desires or favourites in advance to our kitchen brigade and they will do their best to accommodate.

The wine list is constantly under review and offers the discerning guest old favourites and new surprises from premier wine producing regions. 2007 saw the addition of a master list with some of the worlds most wonderful wines. Unlike the vast majority of wine lists, the descriptions are insightful and personal by our own managers who are determined to help you match the right wine with your dinner. For the whisky enthusiast we have over 80 single malts to choose from and a hotel manager who loves nothing more than sharing his interest in Scotland's most famous export!

Please be aware that from 26th March 2006, smoking will no longer be allowed throughout Dalmunzie, including the bedrooms, restaurant, bar and public areas of the hotel. Any guests wishing to smoke may do so in the designated outdoor areas.
