Tower Rooms
The Tower rooms are former Laird's bedrooms. They are extremely large and enjoy wonderful natural light from the many windows and turrets on three sides. They are bedrooms designed for a special occasion. Stewart is the original Laird's bedroom at Dalmunzie, and is named after the current Director Brianna nee Stewart and the Royal House of Stewart who the men of Dalmunzie fought for in all the Jacobite rebellions. It is furnished with antiques, an extra large Queen Anne Four Poster, and enjoys views directly over the front lawn and golf course from its two turrets. Birkmyre was Sir Archie Birkmyre's bedroom with original oak floorboards, oak fittings and fireplace. The bedroom enjoys wonderful views of the glen in three directions and in particular towards Ben Earb from its large turret. MacKintosh was Lady Birkmyre's bedroom and is named after the family who held Dalmunzie for over 350 years. The bedroom takes up the top of the oak tower and has its original oak floorboards and oak fittings. Wonderful views of the golf course and mountains are on offer from its turrets and original arch sash window. Of note are the last Laird's leather armchairs and the rich red decor.
