At Dalmunzie we feel particularly proud of the Food & Beverage we provide. Having been recommended in the Michelin guide for the last eight years (2007-2015), this highlights our high consistency of product. Whether it’s a hearty breakfast in preparation for a big day, a relaxing lunch between golf rounds, or dressing up for a special dinner, we are confident our chefs can provide guests with a dining experience to remember.

Scottish chefs Malcolm Kelly and Jasper Philipson have taken residence of the Kitchen at Dalmunzie Castle Hotel and are excited to drive the dining experience forward with exceptional quality ingredients, expert cooking techniques and a touch of personal flair. Both Chefs have a wealth of experience with over 50 years of kitchen experience between them with resumes stretching as far as Australia.

Head Chef Malcolm Kelly has worked the length and breadth of the country. With many years in London and Europe to the highlands and islands of Scotland.

Sous Chef Jasper Philipson has focused on the West Coast of Scotland, when not working abroad, working to level of Head Chef on both the coast and Islands such as Barra, Mull and Skye where an abundance of fresh, local produce has been available on the doorstep.

Both chefs have a desire to make the best use of the freshest Scottish ingredients available locally and seasonally, while giving an exceptional dining experience to represent Scotland and its cuisine in the best way possible.

FOOD

Our Chef Brigade have an excellent reputation for outstanding meals and work strongly as a talented team. Please note that as Dinner is our priority event of the day, our lunch menu is relatively simple and deliberately designed as the support act. Dinner is an important old-fashioned occasion at Dalmunzie. In a fast paced world we provide a dining experience deliberately meant to take several hours to fully appreciate our “Scottish Estate Contemporary cuisine”. With the candles low, unobtrusive service on hand and wonderful food and wine to enjoy, we hope you’ll experience an event meant to be special. Dinner is enjoyed in our expansive dining room with views over the front lawn in the Spring and Summer months. Alternatively private dining may be arranged in the James Graham Library.

WINE LIST

Our wine list is constantly under review and offers the discerning guest old favourites and new surprises from premier wine producing regions. The Dalmunzie staff team and our exclusive suppliers offer a ‘personal’ approach to wine selection and have compiled tasting notes on our wines to assist guests experience wines of the world. Unlike the majority of wine lists, the descriptions are insightful and pertinent and designed to assist our guests match the right wine with their dinner choice. This attention has resulted in Dalmunzie achieving “Notable Wine List” status AA Wine Award 2009-2013. For the whisky enthusiast we also have a large selection of geographically diverse single malts to choose from.
