DALMUNZIE CASTLE HOTEL

Dalmunzie Castle is a stunning quintessential Laird’s mansion, turreted in the Scots Baronial style and standing proudly at the head of a 6500-acre estate dating back to 1510. Dalmunzie is nestled in the heart of Glenshee and is surrounded by breathtakingly mountains, glens and little rivers all a few steps away from the front door. The hotel has a golf course attached for those with a need to hit a few balls. Despite its isolation, Dalmunzie is less than two hours away from Edinburgh airport and can be reached down a long 2-mile driveway just off the A93. Peace and tranquillity is a feature of life at Dalmunzie with fires and lounges contributing to a relaxing haven from the outside world.

“It was so calm and so solitary… all seemed to breathe freedom and peace, and to make one forget the world and its sad turmoil’s. Queen Victoria’s diary, 1848, en-route to Balmoral via Glenshee.”

GUESTBOOK

What are guests are saying about us

“When we made a booking for our event far away from home, we had an expectation and hope of how it would turn out. Dalmunzie Castle and its hosts went far beyond our expectations and created a super memorable stay. The meals created by the kitchen chefs were so far above a family meal, that it really was like eating in a 5 star restaurant anywhere in the world. This was a magnificent experience!”

ROOM TIP

“Each room is unique. That is the beauty of the hotel. Some are larger than others. As well as the standard Dalmunzie Double room, the hotel offers Four Posters and Tower rooms. Each rooms is named after a Scottish Clan.”

“If you want to get away from it all, this really is the place for you. We had a great weekend stay here and the night sky was full of stars with the lack of light pollution. Our room was great, I didn’t want to leave! The area is so peaceful, with a few good walks. We based ourselves here and did a lot of touring, and we were always so happy to get back to our hotel. The staff were great, a special thanks to Christina who was so genuinely friendly and helpful, and thanks to the manager as well. Loved our weekend stay here!”

ROOM TIP

“We booked a four-poster room which was facing the front, great to wake up in the morning.”
